It all began with my personal health and fitness journey.

How does a married middle-aged father of two who performs nightly in London’s West End become a passionate advocate for physical training? Let me tell you my story!

My 20-year career in theatre has seen me working in the West End and touring around the UK and abroad. During these years, I always tried to find the time to work out in a gym, but as you can imagine, it was often difficult to fit into my crazy schedule! I always felt better when I found the time to exercise. I was aware it made me stronger and gave me the stamina for performing in up to nine shows a week.

Then came the pandemic…

The theatres closed down and I found myself (like a lot of us) eating and drinking more than usual. The months drew on and all of a sudden, I looked down to find that I was out of shape! I decided to do something about it while I had the time. With the help of an online personal trainer, I committed to getting fit. She skilfully guided me to work on specific areas that needed improvement. Slowly but surely, I gained strength and knowledge, until my 44-year-old body was in the best shape of its life! This experience inspired me to become a personal trainer myself, and as the world began to open up again, I was thrilled to qualify as a Level 3 PT.

I work with clients in person and online, helping them to achieve what I found so rewarding in my own life. I find great satisfaction in helping people (some of whom weren’t sure it would be possible!) to get stronger and feel better. My work as a PT also complements my continued career in the theatre as I am often able to integrate sessions with co-workers and those local to London’s West End, where I’m still performing up to nine shows a week!

It may seem strange: performing in front of large crowds by night and watching individual clients enhance the performance of their own bodies by day, but the rewards are much the same—seeing satisfaction in time well spent.

So whether you’re completely new to exercise or looking to take your current capability to the next level, I look forward to helping you reach your goals either in person or online—whichever fits best into your life. Please contact me and let’s get started!
